Acquire a machine learning-based AAV capsid design platform and next-generation CNS target vector

GenixCure announced on the 11th that it has appointed a representative from Han Seung-il to strengthen its global business development (BD) and technology commercialization capabilities.

Han Seung-il is an expert in "structural biology" who has conducted structural-based new drug development and vaccine and therapeutic research for more than 20 years at the Pfizer Research and Development (R&D) organization. In particular, it has contributed to various innovative therapeutic R&D based on its accumulated experience in the field of protein structure analysis and structure-based design.

GenixCure is developing AAV vectors that target not only the central nervous system (CNS) but also muscle and eye tissue through 'InsightMiner', an artificial intelligence (AI)-based adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid development platform. Recently, we have secured a next-generation AAV capsid that exhibits superior CNS target performance and delivery efficiency over conventional "GenC2" and "GenC2M" in non-human primate (NHP) models.

When Han's structural biology expertise and his AI-based capsid design technology are combined, ZenixCure expects to create strong synergy in the process of global commercialization and technology transfer (L/O) as well as design and optimization of new AAV capsids.

GenixCure is actively expanding global technology transfer and co-development opportunities based on its own next-generation AAV vector platform and new capsid technology. Han will lead the establishment of global partnerships and commercialization of technology.
